Acne is a skin condition which has plugged pores (blackheads and whiteheads), inflamed pimples (pustules), and deeper lumps (nodules). Acne occurs on the face and neck, chest, back, shoulders and arms. Even Though most teenagers get some form of acne, adults in their 20’s, 30’s, 40’s, and even older, can develop acne. Often, acne clears up after several years even without treatment. Acne can be disfiguring and upsetting to the patient. Untreated acne can leave permanent scars, which can be treated by your dermatologist in the future. To stay away from acne scars, acne treatment is important.

Nobody knows exactly what causes acne. Hormonal changes, such as during adolescence and pregnancy, probably play a role. There are many myths about what causes acne. Chocolate and greasy foods are often blamed, but there is tiny evidence that foods have much effect on acne in most people. Another common myth is that dirty skin causes acne, however, blackheads and pimples are not caused by dirt. Stress does not cause acne, but stress can make things worse.

Home Remedies for Acne

Apply equal amount of lemon juice and rose water with cotton wool, leave for half an hour and wash. Repeat for 15-20 days.

Mix lemon juice with rose water. lemon with same proportion of rose water is sufficient. Apply to face and make it clear that only after 30 minutes. Constantly do not just get rid of acne and pimples, but also has the effect of reducing skin imperfections.

Mix 1 containerful of sour cream (0% fat for oily face), 1 containerful yogurt, 1 containerful of grind meal and 3-4 drops of lemon juice. Apply to face, leave for 10 minutes and wash.

Use a mask base powder, such as fuller’s world or kaolin powder. Use distilled or filtered water to make a paste. Mix 1 heaping teaspoon of base powder to 3 drops of essential oil. Add about 2 tablespoons of water to make a smooth paste but balanced.

Cleaning the face by washing with warm salt water will leave oil free without aggravating the acne. Cotton soaked in rose water maybe used for cleaning the skin and remove makeup, especially oil-based because it is responsible for outbreaks of acne.

Zinc might also interfere with the absorption of metal and iron from food and supplements. It can interfere with the absorption of tetracycline and fluoroquinolone antibiotics and penicillamine. There is also some concern that a particular diuretic, amiloride, can reduce the excretion of metal and lead to an accumulation of toxins in the body.

Avoid touching your face. It causes trauma to acne, as does collecting seeds. wrist straps tight and baseball caps and sports equipment can have the same effect.

Apply lemon juice and rose water on the acne affected area and leave for 30 minutes. Wash your face thoroughly with warm water to get the perfect cure for acne.

Make a paste of 3 tablespoons of honey and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder. Apply in the grains before bed and wash with warm water next morning. Repeat the procedure two weeks for permanently clearing acne.

Tomato can also be used for the treatment of blackheads and open pores of the skin. Cut the tomato and rub it on the skin. Leave on for fifteen minutes. Wash immediately with water. This will reduce open pores and blackheads. Such treatment is particularly good for oily skin.
