Question: Acne medication and pregnancy…please answer with ur opinion?
I had started taking monodox (an oral medication to treat acne) and this is what I found on the website—PREGNANCY and BREAST-FEEDING: Monodox has been shown to cause harm to the fetus. If you think you might be pregnant, contact your doctor. You will need to discuss the benefits and risks of using Monodox while you are pregnant. Monodox is found in breast milk. Do not breast-feed while taking Monodox .

I am 4 weeks pregnant now and stopped taking the medication 4 days ago when I found out I was pregnant. I did not stop taking it before because I was not anticipating to get pregnant. This is my second child and I am taking care of myself now and will be seeing the dermatologist tom to ask any questions but what do you think?

Do you think is could haved harmed the fetus this early or caused any problems?? I am really concerned

You should talk to your OB about it. The dermatologist might not be able to give you all the information about the effects on the baby.
