March 7th, 2011 by Angela

Acne rosacea is a somewhat frequent skin disease. Red spots that look like pimples would appear on the faces of those who have the disease.Nevertheless these spots are not pimples but enlarged blood vessels that show through the skin, creating red color dots on different parts of the face. Generally, areas such as the chin, the forehead and the lower part of the nose   commonly display  acne rosacea. Acne rosacea might not actually be the correct study for this disease as the study is simply rosacea and acne is mentioned here due to the similarity between acne and rosacea.

Acne as we all know is most frequent among teenagers. However, acne rosacea is most frequent among acceptable skinned people between the ages of 30 and 50. The good news about acne rosacea is that unlike in acne there are no whiteheads or blackheads. Acne rosacea is mostly common with women but the bad news for the guys is that the disease is worse in the case of men.

If the disease preserve it is best to get medical attention. Eventhough acne rosacea normally appear and disappear suddenly, it is highly doable that it would reappear. Particularly when acne rosacea appears in the eye, overlooking the disease could result in your vision being damaged. Untreated acne rosacea would result in one’s nose and cheeks reddening and puffing up. In the lower part of the nose and on the cheeks thick bumps might also appear, having a bad effect on the appearance. The other bad news is that Acne rosacea can't be absolutely cured in most cases. Although  acne rosacea can't generally be cured entirely, it can be treated and the effects of the disease could be minimized.

A mortal suffering from acne rosacea should keep in mind that any activity that would expand his/her blood vessels could aggravate the disease. This unfortunately will mean that certain sacrifices might have to be prefabricated such as not drinking alcohol, refraining from smoking and not intake any hot/spicy food. Certain cosmetics, soap and even hair sprays could worsen acne rosacea so those with the disease should be careful in using such products. Applying sunscreen when going outdoors is also suggested for those suffering from the disease. Laser surgery could be used in some cases when treating this disease.

Some who suffer from mild instances of acne rosacea never realize that they even have the disease. The fact that there is no specific test for acne rosacea has been the main cause for the disease going undetected.
