Bridal Portraits Require Planning And Skill
September 27th, 2011Wedding and bridal photographs are symbols of the beginning of this new journey.Bridal photography is an simple favorite;all the beauty of a wedding but no rushing of the actual wedding day . I enjoy giving the bride a pic of what she will look like on her special day.
In South Texas nearly all brides anticipate a bridal portrait taken several weeks before the wedding . Other areas of the country
may do portraits but move until the day of the wedding and include it as part of the wedding coverage. I know wedding photographers must grant enough time for bad weather since it can change at the drop of a hat as well as time to print the surround size photo.
The massive bridal portrait will be displayed at the reception hall for all to see . Some brides will also use the pic as part of her sign in book. A custom sign in book showing the couples pictures and bridal pictures are very favourite with my San Antonio wedding photography clients.
Choosing the bridal pic location , even though most critical, is just one of the many considerations you must keep in mind to get the perfect bridal portraits. Each location has its one-of-a-kind flavor which if captured correctly can give excellent photographs; however, much rests on the wedding photographer to capture it well. Some venues work superior for wedding photography if shot during early evening when the sun light is soft while others require brighter conditions. Many like the traditional look of the historic Missions located in San Antonio. Others like a more modern of a studio back ground or both.
Any location can work for a portrait and the decision should be up to the individual taste of the bride. I find most bridal portraits are printed vertically so the bride should decide in advance if a traditional vertical portrait or a horizontal shot works best. It depends on the background of the venue as well as the place in your home that you want to display the photo.
After deciding on the size, which is usually 20×24 or 24×36 inches comes the type of material to print the image on. Many go with traditional glossy stock while others will like a matte canvas, gloss metallic, clear acrylic or even real metal which can work for both a contemporary and a antique western look.
