Hey everyone,
I have a bit of cystic acne (I’m on antibiotics) and acne scaring on the sides of my face. My acne isn’t terrible. One a scale of one to ten I’d rate it a seven. But, my scaring is about a nine! I think the worst of my acne is over now. I’m sixteen. But, I have to move until I’m twenty to go to the dermatologist for acne scar removal. 
So, until then does anyone know of any concealers that work good for acne scaring? I was thinkng of Kat Von D’s tattoo concealer, but I also want to know what else is out there? Is there anyone else who has gone through this?
Ms Frontera- Thanks for the really detailed answer! The reason why I have to move until I am twenty is because my physician stated it would be superior to just move until my “acne years” ar over. To Just get rid of all of it at once when I’m twenty instead of part of it when I’m sixteen and another part when I’m twenty. I guess that prefabricated enough sense to me, so I took the antibiotics and Retina. For now I’m just going to move until my next appointment in two months. I’m also going to begin wearing a hat and sunscreen.

any concealer with good coverage will work.
i used to use just whatever drug store concealer i had to cover up a scar on my arm and it worked fine. the only thing id be sure to look for is one that is noncomedogenic – meaning it wont clog your pores.
also dont use coacoa butter, while you can try but i dont think itll work.
in the meantime until you are 20, i would try a vitamin C moisturizer/serum
vit C inhibits pigmentation while protecting you from free radicals.
also it helps promote elastin and the synthesis of colllagen.
id also be sure to exfoliate 2x a week. this will gradually help “sand” down the scars. it gets rid of dead skin cells allowing new ones to surface.
you may even want to try a hydroquinone cream if you are really desperate.
its a bleaching agent similar to one a derm would prescribe, although it will be at a concentration of 2% or less unless prescribed by a derm.
why cant you get it removed until you are 20?
