cure for dry skin on face?

Question: cure for dry skin on face?
around a month ago i started to develop small patches of dry skin on my face, on my cheeks and beside my eyes, and it seems to be spreading slowly. the patches are light red in colour and are kind of flaky. they are mildly itchy and sometimes sting.

i’m 15 and even though i get the occasional spot i have never had any problems with acne, and have quite clear skin. i only wear eye make up and actually stopped wearing foundation before the dry skin appeared.

any ideas on what this is, what caused it and how to treat it?

it might be an allergic reaction to something i would go see a dermatologist to make sure and they can advocate something even if its just a moisturizer.

get an spf sun screen, wear it like a moistorizer, in about a few weeks your skin should be normal again, just wear t every morning even in the winter, it helps repair and not damage from the rays

use Alovera Gel on your face before you go to bed
It soothes the skin and give it a good hydration :]

but if it continues to get worse…i would reccomend seeing a doctor

Your skin sounds pretty sensitive, I would wash your face with a mild face wash both in the morning and before bed, and be sure to apply a moisturizer after each washing…I like burt’s bees daily face moisturizer…it costs about 18 dollars but it will last a long time

Just because you haven’t had Acne before doesn’t mean it can’t suddenly crop up. But i’d try some moisturizer and if that doesn’t work i’d go see a doctor about it.

    sounds like psoriasis

Please see a doctor and try not to put anything on the skin until you do

try just using a moisturizing lotion for your face. if you use acne cream it dries out your skin. you can use a sponge and lightly scrub the area. all it is is dry skin just moisturize it

it seems its deeper than just hormonal acne. nivea makes really good skin care products and are at the top of their game with lotions especially rich in hydrating formulas and ingredients. Aveeno also helps with dry skin. Also if in doubt or can’t get these (being they can be a bit pricey) try anything with oatmeal ingredients

do you use hot water . Hot water dries out skin too, use a face moisturizer . and use cooler water to wash you face . also use moisturizer with cocoa butter or almond extracts with vitamin E . Vitamin E protects skin

Look up Psoriasis and or Eczema on WebMD or another similar site and see which applies or sounds more like your condition. It will advise things you can do and possible treatments.

Well you might either be allergic to the foundation you were using before, or most likely, you have dry skin as a result of using make up, especially if you use cleansers or makeup removers that dry your skin. I always use a moisturizer at night before I go to sleep so it hydrates my skin & takes away all the dryness. Get the Aveeno Daily Moisturizer & also Aveeno Cleanser. They’re both very gentle for your skin and don’t dry it like other products do. Plus, the moisturizer is made up of more natural ingredients & it’s fragrance free, so that reduces the risk of your skin being irritated. Hope that helps.
p.s. You can buy them both at your local drugstores (ie. Walgreens)

It may be a sign of dehydration. Try drinking more water and eating fruit. Also try a cucumber face mask, that will help hydrate your skin a bit more. Otherwise, use an oil free moisturizer with sunblock. Your skin may be sensitive to the sun and hence the reason why you are getting patches on your face.

There’s a cream called ICTYANE.Use it.But before using it you must wash your face with a GLYCERINE soap.

ah i forgot.. i think i know a name for that..
see a dermatologist.. maybe they’ll give u something like a mild steroid cream to put on the spots, i think thats what it calls for..
if you can’t make it to the doctor yet, maybe try a patch of hydrocortisone on the spot and see if that takes care of the itching.
there are things like eczema and psoriasis that seem similar to that but don’t worry, whatever it is can be treated like its no big deal..
your skin is probably sensitive and dry so its just not at its healthiest right now. maybe it’s an allergic reaction too
in my opinion it seems that its always the people with sensitive systems like allergies who get these kinds of skin problems sometimes.. i also feel that the reason we get these things when we’re older is because of hormones fluctuating.
if u use a moisturizer look up complex 13 lotion, ive heard its really good for hypersensitive skin and people with skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis, oil free and all that.. i just got some the other day but ive yet to try it…
i usually use dove sensitive lotion which is really good but they discontinued that

omgosh i had the same problem… sounds like you’ve been using some sort of medicine… when i was 15 i started using benzoyl peroxide for acne and it did that to my face…first i used some hemp moisturizer at sallys it worked really well… then i started to use this olay kind and its the best ever and ive used a ton of different kinds…but its sooo expensive for such a small tube.. but what i usually do is use someput some primer on then let that sit for a few mins then put moisturizer on the makeup….works for me

Cleanse the face to get most the dry dead skin off the area
its summer and the best Ive found for summer dry skin
its cheap and it smells good enough to eat find your local target store or walgreens or rite aide any of the drug stores like target and walgreens have a end of summer sale of hawaiin tropic sun tan oil
get it on sale in the end of summer clearance racks I got to these three stores twice a week and check for the end of summer clearance every year they fail to sale all their hawaiin tropic sun tanning oil you dont need huge bottles but buy on sale clearance any size they sell
of just buy one of their smallest bootles for this stuff will last you
two years maybe evn three seasons yes seasons your gonna use just a small amount a couple drips on the fingers and spread and massaged onto the entire face concentrate on the dry patches it works on severe rosaishia or dry red patches no matter the cause
this has fine oils in the mix the brand has coconut oil in it and
this one ingredient is the finest dry skin fix out there.
Use the oil when you wake up and only after you have bathed or showered then place some on cotton balls to take in your purse and when you get a moment during the day open the zip lock bag of cotton
balls dabbed with just a bit of the tanning oil with you it smells like you can eat it and it makes you smell like your fresh off a sunny beach
after a nice maitai party of sunning by the pool.
best stuff on the market but only buy this suntan oil on sale for its very exspensive you can use cheap J n J baby oil too but its not half as good as this hawain tropic sun tanning oil if you like get the SP
F protection kind and it is only a bit milky looking but it works two ways its the same oil sun tan oil but with a added SPF sun blocker
to stop your skin from burning in full sun. funny sun block tan oil but thats newest product from hawain tropic. They have not been in business making this sun tan oil for thirty years without it being a billions dollar seller thats why stores carry it and discount the end of the season stock its that good even as a discounted price they never loose money selling hawaiin tropic sun tan oils.
Its better than any avon lotions and better than intersive care almond cherrry lotion and equate almond cherry the vaseline equate from
Walmart the generic source of high moisturizing lotion even the high end oil of olay its better than that oil of olay and way less exspensive if you check for the clearance shelves of these three stores or your local
walmart and walgreens even safeway will discount these end of season tropic oils they sell it too. most stores do because they dont loose money selling it even in the discount youd be surprized the
bottle cost to the store versus the sale price they sell this item for
they buy it by the case sales and spread the cost down cause they sell it in so many stores even in walmart on sale safeway can sell discounted on their discount or closeout shelves Ive seen it as low as
$2 bucks a bottle at target and safeway end of the summer season.
all these locationslook for your source then dont tell anyone for once the word gets out there goes your source if you see bottles for sale buy you a couple of the sale bottles and store it for yourself
that way your set for a long time and this stuff has a shelf life of thre or more years but I dont keep it more than three cause I tend to use it up on feet and heels and elbows and a makeup remover my wife uses it for that with those cotton pads they sell on sale by the ton.
she says it works better than noxima and oil of olay I tend to pick her up oil of olay just so she stays out my tan oil for her makeup remover.
Its so good it also works on sweaky door hinges and as a light bulb
starter so your light bulbs dont stick in the socket like a pam cooking oil for your light bulb sockets that tend to stick dry well just dab on a drop of sun tan oil lightly coat the bulb skew in metal side before

hot towel when you sleep try it sometimes it works you just need a moisture and wash your face maybe after you eat lunch that’s why most Japanese people don’t have dry skin try washing your face and use good moisture i use
    avons nurtura replenishing cream
yeah it’s a clean but it doesn’t have oils in it and it just makes your skin feel soft
if you don’t get that just use a little bit of lostion during th day

oh and wash your face when you are in the shower you will see such a difference if you do that (what is mostly when most dirt gets on your face and cakes too)
