Acne occurs when sebaceous glands secrete too much oil. Also described as an inflammatory disorder of the sebaceous glands (oil), which is under the skin. Purchase gentle skin cleanser for acne, and wash daily. More cleaning of the skin might cause irritation and can aggravate your skin condition. OTC bactericidal products containing benzoyl peroxide can be used. In women, acne can be improved with hormonal treatments.
