Selecting a suitable hairstyle for any occasion is easy if you know how. A terrific hairstyle is one that is easy and yet elegant. Never try out new hairdos when you have to go on a sudden date as it might turn out awful! Just because there are several elaborate hairstyles doing the celebrity rounds, does not mean those styles would look good on you. And, you will never be ready to maintain a fancy hairstyle on your own without professional help.

1. Never change your hairstyle drastically just before the celebration or wedding or date. You need to plan hair cuts, hair extensions, straightening, curling, etc, a month in advance. All changes in hair colour should be done at least two weeks ahead.

2. If you are the bride, ensure that the maid of honour, bridesmaids, your mother, or your mother-in-law  are not planning a similar hairstyle.

3. Never curl your own hair or add any hairstyling products on your own before your hairdressing session.

4. To prevent mussing your hair while getting dressed, place on your dress first and then get your hairdo up.

5. Ask your hairdresser for some extra pins just in case you have a hair mishap and need to tuck in those errant strands.

6. Start conditioning your hair at least 15 days before the huge day.

11.Don’t wash your hair on the day you are getting your hairdo.

12.Use hairstyling products customized for coloured hair, if you have coloured hair. Don’t over indulge in hairstyling products. Remember to leave colour on for at least forty five minutes for best effects and stay away from repeated colouring of your hair as it ruin the hair.

13.Don’t use the wrong hairstyling tools.

14.Following fashion trends can be a good thing but don’t become a slave to the ‘in’ thing as constant change in hairstyles will ruin your hair.

15.Use hair accessories sparingly and tastefully. Don’t pile on the accessories as it will cheapen your hairdo.

16.To prevent getting an uneven haircut, remember to switch off your mobile and never use it in the salon.

17.Never try out hairstyles that you can't maintain on your own without professional help.

18.The most important tip to a gorgeous hairdo is to keep your hairdresser happy and stress-free! Never turn up late for your hairdressing appointment or cancel without adequate notice or even ask for an unscheduled session as this will really annoy your hairdresser. Don’t offer tips on hairstyling techniques to your hairdress as she won’t like it!

Remember that healthy hair looks terrific and needs very tiny styling. So, make sure you consume nutritious food and your regularly intake includes adequate quantities of fruit, nuts, and vegetables  to keep your hair naturally shiny and silky. Only good nutritious food can prevent drop of hair and premature grey hair.

Never try crash weightloss diets as it causes chronic hair loss. Regular exercise and a nutrition rich diet will help you achieve weight loss without ruin to your hair. Getting a strand test done before colouring or highlighting your hair will warn you of any unwanted reactions. You should never colour your eyebrows or eyelashes.

With these easy precautions in place, you can have the gorgeous hairstyle of your dreams!
