Freakin Acne! Any tips/advice?
July 3rd, 2011Question: Freakin Acne! Any tips/advice?
I have light acne mostly in the T- Zone of my face (forehead, nose, above my lips, etc.) and black heads all over my nose. I’ve used Clean&Clear. Biore strips in my nose, and tons of other products that seem to not do anyting. I’m using Neutrogena Oil Free Rapid Clear Facial Scrub now, and it does “okay”, but not really working.
I’ve brought up the subject of seeing a dermatologist to my mom, but she stated it’s not “bad enough” to see one. And i don’t wanna cover it up with makeup, so I don’t really know what else to do. Any tips? Perhaps some home remedies that might work? Please don’t recommend anything expensive, or anything with Benzoyl Peroxide(I’m allergic)
Also, I have some scarring from past breakouts. Any tips for that as well?

get Neotrogena on-the-spot cream, it really helped me with my pimples tho

I have some blackheads on my nose but recently i started to get rid of them,so heres how(may not be same effect or something to other people,but worth a try)
i usually wash my face with warm water to open up the pores(cant spell)
and then use simple cleaning product from rite aid or something
and wash it off
it seems to work for me,over 2-3 days it looks clean
it doesnt over dry my face or make it red like some products do
but your experience maybe different
I use this Clean and Clear stuff called Persa-Gel 10. Unfortunately it does have 10% Benzoyl Peroxide and I didn’t notice that until a few minutes ago, but I thought I might as well answer your question anyway. :[ I have terrible acne as well so good luck to you!
don’t use a scrub every night!!! it dries out your skin, so it produces more oil, and more acne. use a gentle cleanser, and use on the spot treatments on pimples, like neutrogena or a blemish touch stick that you can get at like trader joes. i dont really have super bad acne either, but i went to see a derm and my skin cleared up so maybe just ask your mom to go once just to see what he/she suggests. hope this helps!!
believe it or not but moisterizing your face will slow your sebacius glands down.
