Good homeade facial mask for acne prone skin?
September 12th, 2010Question: Good homeade facial mask for acne prone skin?
I want to find a really good-working homemade facial mask that actually works.
Some of the things I have at home that I heard are used for facial masks are:
Lemon Juice
Sugar
I think I have oatmeal
Olive Oil
Baking Soda
Do you have any good recipes I can use with some of those ingredients?
Thanks for the help! (:

egg whites, cornstarch, and lemon juice make a great mask. The egg whites tighten your skin, the cornstarch makes the mixture thicker so it doesn’t drip as much, and the lemon juice cleans your pores.

Best thing i used to use was apple juice and vinegar boiled together, then soak a rag in it, put the hot rag on your face. it works.
I don’t know a recipe but you can buy clear masks at Kroger’s for only $2.99.
You can use basic ingredients found around the house to make your own simple, hydrating masks. If you have oily or acne-prone skin, mud or clay-based masks are great for balancing out your skin. Dry skin will benefit from hydrating masks made from glycerin, honey and oils. Ginseng or green tea masks are great for soothing sensitive skin.
Masks (homemade or otherwise) should stay on for 10-15 minutes, should follow with a cleansing and a thin layer of moisturizer.
