Question: How can you swiftly clear up ‘backne’?
I’ve had a moderate acne problem on my back, shoulders and upper chest since i was about 12. I’m hoping to kick it for good before its time to get out the summer tops this year, but I don’t know how to. I have tried a lot of topical treatments and body washes, but they don’t seem to really take care of the problem, and it always comes back. I wear clean, breathable, loose clothing all the time, so I know that’s not the problem, but I can’t afford a dermatologist or any costly treatments.
So any recommendation as to how I can get rid of this? Its humiliating when people ask why I won’t wear sleeveless/strappy tops or swimsuits…and summer coming soon! Help!

Start washing your back with a back scrubber and tea tree oil soap. Scrub your back thoroughly, but gently enough that you don’t scratch the skin. Do this by working up a thick lather of soap on your back, and scrub in small circles all over your back. You can buy Tea tree oil from grocery and health stores. Try getting a tan on your back. Ten to 15 minutes of unprotected exposure to sunlight several times a week can help heal back acne.
