I have the same dilemma.. On my face mostly. I know one cause of acne is oil. If you have bangs and you have oily hair then that could be one reason why. So get your bangs from your face. Plus if you were make up and dont wash it off… It clogs pores. But I use st. ives apricot scrub i like it. Its for oily skin. and i use cetaphil as well. I thought that helped too… It might also help that you wash your face in the morning and night. Plus it could be your age.

First of all, there are several reasons that you might be facing an acne problem. It could mean that it is hereditary and you have some acne genes in your family tree.

Second, you might be dealing with acne because of poor dietary choices that you are making in your life. For example, is your diet full of fried foods, sodas, dairy products, sugary foods, and snacks? If so, you are contributing to your problem.

It is shown that those who have a healthier diet, acne is far less severe and many times completely gone. Great foods for an acne free diet would be, fresh fruits and vegetables, lots of greens (salads, spinach, cucumbers, zucchini, barley leaves, wheat grass, etc.), whole grain breads, raw seeds and nuts, and natural sugar products, such as honey or stevia. The less refined the diet, the better. Also, the less dairy products, the less mucous that will form and block your pores.

Third, not only what you put IN your body, but what you put ON your body could be causing your acne dilemma.

Lastly, hormones have a lot to play into acne. Getting your hormones under control (that means stress reduction is vital) will help with eliminating your acne issues.

Adult acne, just like teenage acne, can be alleviated once you figure out what is causing the acne.

How to treat acne depends on what issue is causing the acne. A lot of good information on the sites listed in the source box.
