I first got pubic acne when i started shaving down there. Then I stopped shaving and started using clippers to trim off the top. I tried using A&D ointment but it doesn’t work. They are cystic-like pimples and some are painful when touched. What can i use to cure it? Also I have back acne(chest neck and shoulders) and I don’t know how to cure this either. Help Me!!
I am a virgin so it can’t be an STD.

You don’t have “pubic acne” what you have is a combination of razor burn and ingrown hairs which can be like cystic acne. They can be so big and inflamed it hurts to walk. I find they won’t go away until you get the hair out and you have to get the pus out or it will just harden inside and take forever to go away. There is a product called bikini zone that works really well for keeping the skin calm after shaving or waxing so you won’t get any rash-like bumps but it won’t prevent those deep ingrowns. Nothing will actually. The products out there designed for preventing ingrowns, only prevent the surface ones. If you are prone to getting them, there’s nothing you can do (I have the same problem and I’m an esthetician and have tried everything). So, not shaving is probably your best bet.
As for the acne on your chest, neck and shoulders, you probably won’t find anything at a drug store that will work. Go see your Dr. and if it’s bad enough, he/she will prescribe you something. I hate to say it but medication is the only definite way to get rid of it. There is tetracycline which is an antibiotic and shouldn’t be used for long periods of time and there is Accutane which is a very harsh medication with lots of side effects but works like magic. Dr’s only prescribe this in severe cases though.
