How Does a Smokeless Cigarette Work?

October 30th, 2010 by Angela

People often ask how a smokeless cigarette can please someone compared to a tobacco cigarette.  To answer that, one has to see how these products function and also what goes into them.  While each brand is prefabricated somewhat different or in different sizes, all of them have identical basic components to them and work the same.

A smokeless cigarette is naturally tube shaped, to approximate the look and feel of a conventional cigarette.  When you take it apart, you will find there is a mouthpiece, a rechargeable battery, an vaporizer and some circuitry to make it all work together.  With some brands, you will find these fundamental components combined in order to produce a unit with as few as 2 parts but when you take them apart, they’re going to all be in there.

Some devices will require you to near a button to turn on the heating element referred to as the atomizer while others this would come on automatically when you puff on the device.  The heating element is titled an atomizer because the heat is what turns the liquid in the cartridge to vapor.  This vapor is inhaled in through the mouthpiece as well as some being released from the other end of the tube.

This procedure helps to realistically recreate the sensation a smoker gets from traditional products as they inhale in the water vapor like they used to inhale in smoke.  The plume coming out the other end enhances this effect.  The smokeless cigarette, mostly the smaller ones, are held the same as a typical cigarette, as well, further enhancing the realistic experience.

Since the fluid within the cartridge contains nicotine, this gives the smoker the effect they hunger after but without the rest of the hurtful substances found in tobacco.
