I have acne on my chest, shoulders, and arms… how can I get rid of it?
February 1st, 2009Question: I have acne on my chest, shoulders, and arms… how can I get rid of it?
Hey, I’m a guy, I’m 17 years old and I’ve had acne on my upper arms and chest for a while now and I started getting acne on my shoulders nearly a year ago now. I don’t know how to get rid of it and yeah I try and pop it and stuff, that probably doesn’t help.
I don’t drink any sodas, but I’m a huge kid. I’m about 6′1″ 275 pounds and I lift weights and play football. I read diet doesn’t have much to do with acne other than your skin producing more oil for fatter foods, but I don’t know how true that is.
Is there anything I can do to make it go away as soon as possible, possibly in a couple months?

Hi friend,
The first thing is plain obvious: wash these areas regularly with soap and water. You can also use some acne products (there are so many on the market).
I started to get the acne on my chest out of the blue which lasted for about 1.5 months and has started clearing up by doing what I mentioned above but I didn’t need to use any products.
If it troubles you so much, you should go and see a physician and they might prescribe a strong acne medication.
Good luck friend

hydrogen peroxide
seriously it works!

Witch Hazel may also work – but you need to be careful as this can be very drying –
Best bet is to keep clean – you need to wear fresh workout clothing EVERY TIME you work out, which will probably be a pain, but is the best way to prevent bacteria from redepositing on your body.
You aren’t supposed to pick because this can cause scarring and unnecessary irritation –
I agree, you can also go to a dermatologist for a prescription, but you are also going to have to also keep super clean as well – especially with the football padding you have to wear – not sure how you guys clean that shoulder pad you have to wear, but if you aren’t cleaning it, that is definitely one of your problems!
Good luck!
Try prickly heat powder & keep your body clean by taking a bath everyday even after your sports activities.
talk to your doctor about possibly going on roaccutane. It’s what I used and now I haven’t had any at all since.
I’ve been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne/pimples temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it’s at.
I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.
I’m 29 years old and have been suffering from these little pests since I was a teenager. I tried all sorts of face washes from the local grocery store and what not, but nothing seemed to work. If anything it would just make my skin dry and itchy.
Literally the best acne face wash I’ve ever used has been this stuff called clearpores. It has got rid of the acne to quickest and has been a success ever since I got it. It’s unique cause of it’s herbal supplement you take a long with it that helps your skin from the inside out. I saved money on it at skincleansingsystem.com at the time which was helpful.
You should really look into this stuff and if you can to assure the best results, get the 3 month supply because if it doesn’t work it will still save you butt on the return policy.
Well good luck and best wishes.
