toothpaste on your pimples usually dry them up and make them a lot less noticeable – just put a dab on each pimple. then wait till the toothpaste is completely dry, and crumble it off.

It may be good to take a look at your diet like fatty or fried foods may be contributing to acne, also, how and with what you clense your body with could either irriate acne or make it relaxed. This goes for clothing too that can be an irritant.

Acne is very much a trial-and-error condition. What works for some people do not work for others.

There are various over-the-counter solutions which do work for some. Aside from benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid products are another option. There’s everything from Oxy to Clean and Clear to SpectroGel and tons inbetween. I use Oxy pads as a preventative, now that my skin is getting better (with age).

My mother has chronic and ProActiv does work for her. It is expensive but does work for some (in her case, it is cheaper than her prescriptions and she needs to be presentable to clients). Although it works best with the full system, there are many people who just use a product or two. My mother gets too much of the mask with her system, so I occasionally use the leftovers.

You can also try natural products made with Tea tree oil. Spot treatments with rubbing alcohol can dry out an individual pimple, but don’t do too much or spread it much beyond the pimple – too drying. As well, masks made with blue corn make good treatments as well.

The only true routine is the basics: wash face, tone (use a toner, Oxy pad, whatever) then a moisturizer so your face doesn’t get too zapped (and moisture can help skin heal). Facial masks one a week or twice if your skin is oily. DO NOT OVER-PROCESS! Treatments take time, and sometimes you just haven’t found the right one. Doing too much will make it worse.

If you do choose to pop zits, realizing that it can harm your skin, wash your skin first and keep rubbing alcohol nearby (I actually will pop with alcohol-soaked Q-Tips, if I choose to). Once it pops open, you want to immediately wipe off the gunk and sterilize to ensure you do not spread that bacteria to other pores. And remember, there is now a little hole there that you need to let heal.

As for the toothpaste, that’s an urban legend. Some may dry the zit simply by absorbing mositure as they dry, but not all do (and if you want to try it, ensure you have paste not gel). As well, the ingredients in toothpaste aren’t going to help your face.

    Above all: patience. GOOD LUCK!

I actually have a list of 10 home remedies that are supposed to work such as
1 Applying cooked oatmeal to the face for 15 min

2 Grind nutmeg (jaiphal) with unboiled milk and apply on acne for 1-2 hours. This works as a magic. Pimples should disappear without leaving a mark.

3 Combining one table spoon of cinnamon with lemon juice and
rubbing it on the skin each day

4 Make a paste by mixing honey and cinnamon powder. Apply this paste on the pimples before sleeping and wash it next morning with warm water. Repeat for two weeks, pimples will disappear forever

5 Rubbing the affected areas with a fresh clove of garlic

6 Mixing baking soda with water and applying the paste to the affected areas for 15-20 min

7 Make orange peel paste by grinding it in some water. Apply on and around pimples.

8 Mix 1 tablespoon groundnut oil with 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice to prevent formation of blackheads and acne .

9 Apply juice of raw papaya (including the skin and seed) on swelling pimples or acne.

10 Apply fresh lime juice mixed to a glass of boiled milk as a face wash for pimples, blackheads, and cracked skin

I havn’t tried some of these but the are ‘Guaranteed’ to work

goto drug store and have them get u a bar of pine tar soap, use it regularly , it works but stinks while its wet, no odor after face is dried

If you have an oily skin wash your face twice a day in warm salty water. This should leave your face oil free without aggravating the pimples like soap. The secret of keeping the skin clear is to keep it oil-free and clean. If you have a dry skin honey is a great remedy for acne and pimples because the honey kills bacteria. If you have a combination skin when you wash your face, use sugar to scrub it, at least once a day, for two weeks to rid yourself of acne. Some of those are answers are true about using home remedies, it might work for some people & it might not work for others. However, home remedies does have been proven by traditions by generations in centuries. Some answers here about using toothpaste & alcohol are applicable also, since home remedies are not always related to natural remedies, it can be non-natural home remedies, such as first aid kits.

It would be the best solution to use natural ways for your problems here. Why dont you try apply honey as a masker, rub it on your face at least 3x a week, and leave it minimum 30 minutes, then wash your face with warm water and then cold water. This is a good natural way for prevention & natural cure. It works best for me, especially because I’m living in the most polluted metropolitan city & I always look for a natural remedies. I have tried medication but don’t work good on me, and besides that, they are more expensive & have bad side effects.

Other way is, rub pimple or acne candidate with garlic slice several times. It is claimed that they will not grow or bigger.

Please bear in mind, before you carry out these simple steps, make sure you have already cleaned your hands and the particular skin, including the garlic you will use as remedies.

Don’t forget also, your daily intake play significant to your overall health, including your skin & face. Increase your intake regularly with more fruits & vegetables, make it varied every day. Plus, drink water averagely 8 glass/day for better digestion. Avoid junk food, dried foods, preservatives, MSG, unhealthy snacks, etc. It’s the best to have your vegetables by steam/stew or boil instead of fry them in oil.
