Loving the Good Bacteria with Probiotics Supplements

March 10th, 2011 by Angela

Your colon is a busy, crowded place – or at least you superior hope that it’s crowded with friendly bacteria . We have an increased likelihood of being afflicted with harmful yeasts, intestinal toxemia, bad bacteria, viruses, and and extensive list of of other health problems when we don’t have a sufficient supply of beneficial bacteria Why? Because without the friendly bacteria to process the toxic waste from food that has not been absolutely digested and evacuated, the toxins and undigested food particles might get into the circulatory system and make the immune system to work overtime . These particles are responded to as foreign invaders that need to  be either changed into something usable or removed from the body . Eventually this can impair the immune system so that it is unable to handle serious diseases or infections .

The toxins produced from this waste material can spread throughout your system , literally poisoning you. Your “starved” and poisoned organ systems are subjected to increasing stress and can weaken to the point of collapse . This is why so many researchers now believe that “death begins in the colon.”  Good intestinal health is vital to our well being.

Communities of “friendly or probiotic” bacteria must reside in the colon for it to work properly . These bacteria help create a equilibrium in your intestines by holding down the proliferation of bad bacteria like E. coli and salmonella .

Unfortunately , the desireable bacteria that should populate our colons and offset the bad are constantly under attack by an increasingly diverse array of enemies. You’ll recognize the abundant enemies of chlorinated water, antibiotics we take ourselves and those already fed to the animals we consume and sterile dairy products we consume, alcoholic beverages , some chemicals , as well as the devastation of chemotherapy and irradiation . So now we need to look at digestive supplements.

Once, beneficial bacteria were passed naturally from mom to infant . But , over the past half-century , in our misguided preoccupation to kill all bacteria, we have also killed the good with the bad . That’s the reason why we need to regularly reintroduce good bacteria into our body to ensure we keep ourselves healthy. Probiotics supplements might also be a good theory right after taking antibiotics or other medications designed to kill bacteria or viruses.
