Microdermabrasion: An Effective Way to Remove Stretch Marks
March 23rd, 2011Stretch marks can form on the skin through many different times in our lives. But they all form due to the same reason. This is caused by the excessive stretching of the skin, to the point that the skin can't stretch any further thus causing small tears and breaks in the dermal layer of the skin.
These wound will obviously be repaired once the body stops stretching. The body does this by stimulating cells to regenerate so that the ones that were ruined might be replaced. In addition to this, the space left behind by the wound needs to be filled up by collagen so that there would be no space left behind. This event is the main cause stretch marks.
Since the tears in the skin occurred in the dermal layer, this means that it can't be easily reached by conventional scar removal methods. You will need to reach the deeper layers of the skin to order to have a chance of eliminating these deep scars.
Removal creams are one way of eliminating scars. They work by increasing cell regeneration so that younger skin cells might cover up the existing scar. Aside from this, it also tries to change the color of the scar so that it becomes nearly the same as your normal skin tone. This way, the scar will appear nearly invisible. Unfortunately, stretch marks are in a deeper layer of the skin which makes it harder for removal creams to reach them and take its effect.
A more effective way of eliminating these stretch marks is by undergoing microdermabrasion. This method works in removing superficial and deep scars from the skin as it involves removing the outermost layer of the skin so that any type of scar, whether deep or superficial, can be absolutely removed.
This method is carried out through physical or chemical means. Once this method is complete, any superficial scars will obviously be removed. Aside from this, deeper scars can easily be reached thus you can also opt to remove them along with the outer layer of your skin. Once the skin regenerates, these scars will be absolutely gone.
The only problem with this method is that it exposes the sensitive layer of your skin. You will need to protect this area as it can easily be infected. Aside from this, it is also sensitive to touch so be sure to keep it covered at all times. But this is just a small price to pay for the total elimination of your scars.
With a tiny sacrifice, this method is one of the most effective ways to eliminate stretch marks absolutely from your skin. Aside from this, it can also remove any superficial scars that might be present as well. After your skin has regenerated, you will be glad to see that no traces of your scars are left behind.
