Neutrogena acne body wash?
January 9th, 2011Question: Neutrogena acne body wash?
I have horrible acne on my chest, shoulders, and back. I tried using the neutrogena acne body wash but I get a TERRIBLE rash on my armpits when I rinse. I can't use deodrant for a week and have to wash with soap and apply cortisone to the areas until it heals.
Anyone know a way I can apply the body wash and rinse it without it touching my armpits it seems impossible because i have to use it on my shoulders (deltoids). Closing my arm pits tightly does not help.
Any other suggestions? I already use Proactiv for my face, I do not want to use it on my body because it will waste so fast considering how my entire chest and back has acne.
I already consume healthy btw and take fish oil and all the good stuff.
Please help, I want to get rid of this curse.

Don’t apply the wash directly on your body, use a crucify or loofah. Lather it and stay away from the armpit areas. It seems that you have a bad reaction to the acne wash anyways, I’d advocate using something else such as Accutane.

How about going to see the doc and getting on antibiotics to get the staph bacteria under control since you have such a severe case of acne? Go see your doc and get this treated.
Yes. I use the same product. Use a washcloth or a loofah (I think that’s what it’s called.) It really works. Just lather it up and rub it around your body and don’t use it on your armpits. I use a soap bar for my armpits instead of the body wash. It works for me and should probably work for you.
Since bacteria can exacerbate the condition, always wear clean clothes, bras and T-shirts . Wear cotton clothing and use powder to keep your back dry. When washing your back use a loofah, sponge or exfoliant to help remove any dead skin cells that may clog up pores. Use a gentle action and don’t be too harsh otherwise you will end up breaking the skin.Check out http://useinfo-acne.blogspot.com/ for more useful info.
