Yoga is a kind of practice that connects the mind, body and spirit. This is one of the escape strategies and perhaps an best way to create calm amidst the hussle and bussle of life but the medical community has recognized the benefits yoga has for with treating conditions.

Yoga helps problems such as asthma, depression, lower back pain, asthma, joint pain and multiple sclerosis and many more.

Once you have found your center and strenghten that core — you will find a relief from a chronic illness.

Here are five things you should think about FIRST when you want to think about the practice of Yoga:

1. Begin gradually. DO not try to attempt on a kind of workout that you might not be used to. Eventhough you might be in a great physical shape, trying or attempting complicated postures is not advisable. Yoga is a different kind of workout.   Never try Doing head stands on your first day. Yoga involves watching carefully and listening to your body as it progress through the flow of motions.

 2. Find a eligible instructor. There should be initials R.Y.T. (Registered Yoga Trainer) behind the study of your instructor. This is a sign that they’ve spent extensive practice for and learning this ancient art.

3. Eating is prohibited before class. It might be common to have a small snack before going to the gym, I am guilty of that…but as a pre-yoga snack will backfire on you. Try not to eat  two to three hours before yoga class. Then afterward, feel free to enjoy a piece of fruit or juice afterwards

4. Be honest about injuries. Be proactive and notify your teacher of any aches, pains or injuries. Any pain should be brought to the attention of your yoga teacher before class begins, even if you aren’t asked by your instructor.

5. Open your Mind. Stay focused, welcome the positive changes taking place  and keep breathing.   Your will be introduced to postures, movements, and feelings that you have never before experienced if it is your first time in your class.
