Permanent Hair Removal versus Temporary Techniques
December 10th, 2010Few procedures have secured the title of permanent hair removal. Most hair removal techniques are temporary. Even waxing will only get rid of the hair for a few weeks. Still, major agencies have approved the title of permanent hair removal for a couple different procedures. Let’s compare these methods to their temporary substitutes.
Electrolysis is a form of permanent hair removal. During this procedure a little metal wire is place into a hair follicle and electricity is shot into the follicle. The electricity does its dirty work, and the follicle no longer works anymore. This is probably the most successful form of permanent hair removal. It is also the most time consuming and expensive.
Some people like to receive laser hair treatment for their permanent hair removal. Sadly, these people are often disappointed. In the United Says the FDA has restricted laser hair treatment facilities from being ready to claim that they offer permanent hair removal. This is because the practice doesn’t always permanently remove the hair. Instead, in many circumstances, the hair will grow back.
Laser hair removal is expensive, so people are evenhandedly upset when they find out it is not a permanent hair removal option. Still, people will often select laser hair removal over electrolysis because of time and money. Also, for some reason electrolysis scares people for some reason. I think this might be fear of the unknown. For some reason lasers are more familiar than electrolysis.
Once they get a look at the cost of so called “permanent hair removal” procedures, a lot of people decide to stay with the more common methods of shaving, hair removal creams and waxing. Waxing can still be evenhandedly costly but its a lot cheaper than lasers. Another benefit of the temporary methods is that they can be accomplished “do it yourself style” in the privacy of your own home.
Another option that is favourite for use at home is the epilator. The epilator is a device that uses spinning discs to pluck the hair out of you. This is a painful experience, but keeps the hair from growing back as swiftly as shaving does. The more you use an epilator, the easier it gets to use it. The first time is pretty rough. Also, to use an epilator, you have to move for your hair to be long enough for the discs to pluck them. This means that you will have to go through periods of having hair outside of your skin.
Some people select to use hair removal creams. This might be the easiest and least painful mode of hair removal. Hair removal creams are not used for permanent hair removal. They break down the bonds of hair making them doable to be rubbed off.
Well there you have it. Each method has it’s own pros and cons. Read more on the details of apiece method, technique and hair removal products at the Effective Hair Removal Systems website.
