Question: Poll: Guys, would this turn you off?
I’m 22, and I’m on Accutane right now. I’ve had cystic acne for a long time, but since being on Accutane, most of it has cleared up. I still have about three months left to go, so it should get even clearer.

I am a pretty girl, not overweight or anything, BUT I have some purplish scars from acne on my face, chest, groin area, and butt.:( After Accutane I will try to get some cream to diminish the scars.

ALSO, I still SOMETIMES get tiny new cysts on my breasts and groin that swell up, then drain out. I am a clean person, I have tried many acne medications and creams/washes, and nothing has worked but Accutane. I am still halfway through it only, so these cysts might go away anyways.

But my question is, if i was getting undressed in front of you, and you liked the rest of me..
Would having purple scars or a few cysts in those areas instantly turn you off??
Umm, I can’t help it. It’s not something I’m doing wrong.

Yes, but only because I’m gay. I’m sure there are guys out there who wouldn’t care :D

Nope. I totally get why you’d feel self conscious, but male hormones are much too powerful to be so easily overthrown!!! No little purple scars will ever be a match for the mighty testosterone!

The swelling up/draining out part killed it for me; nobody wants an oozing girlfriend.

Everyone’s different. Everyone’s gonna have their own opinion. There are people out there though who would look past this

Don’t listen to that mean bi+ch that replied first. I bet it’s not as bad as you think. Everybody views their own imperfections worse than they really are. Anything could be a turn off for anyone, but true turn on’s go way deeper than skin blemishes.

little cysts on your private areas will turn me off…sorry…but it’s the truth.
acne scars (unless they are bad) probably wont

I will address a few things first: When you say that you are a clean person..inside and out?…does that mean no drugs of anykind…no diet pills…no chemicals…no drinking…no smokin’….all of that stuff will cause your skin to break-out or become not healthy….ok…next….about your diet….staying away from cokes…candy bars/chocolate…..ok…now for your skin…it must be durable and flexible…in order for the pores to breath and all….your skin needs to be elastic feeling…not dry to where the pores are not gonna move and let oils out….ok…and the medicine is working….keep your doctors appts…..em…how about a good anti-bacteria soap to use in the shower….ok…with all of that being done…you will start clearing up…oh…and take good multi-vitamin to make your skin, hair, and overall outlook more healthy…..So, what you must do is become more healthier…and make sure that your sleep is good…cause you want to get the good restorative sleep during the night while you rest…it will heal you up and everything….if you get pimple sores/scabs….clean them with anti-bacteria baby wipes w/aloe…..don’t pick at them..ok…..so go on and live your life!

What turns me off is insincerity. Everything else can be worked with or worked around.
I’ve read enough postings from you to know that you are one of the most sincere people on this medium.
So, no….your skin condition would not be a turn off for me.
Best wishes and good luck with the rest of your treatment.
