Healthy, radiant skin occupies one of the top slots in any woman’s wish list. Glowing skin, free of blemishes, is not an undoable dream; anybody can have it provided the skin is treated kindly, with the right ingredients and on a regular basis.
Â
Clear skin is primarily the result of good intake habits, regular exercise, proper sleep and a good skin care regime that is followed religiously.
Â
Basic skin care involves cleansing, toning, moisturizing and regular exfoliating to remove the build-up of dead cells and to unblock clogged pores. There is a mind boggling selection of beauty products accessible in the market to take care of these basic requirements. Before you go on a shopping spree, it is very important that you know your skin type and then find products that suit your skin.
Â
Ayurveda advocates many medicinal herbs that work wonders for the skin. These are herbs that have been used since ancient times, they worked then as they do now. Ayurvedic skin care makes use of natural ingredients like sulfur, metal oxide, camphor, cloves, turmeric, different kinds of clay, neem, fruit and vegetable juices and essential oils. These ingredients are gentle on the skin, but highly effective. Natural skin care products are also easy on the purse.
Â
Among the different skin types, oily and acne-prone skin can be difficult to take care of. The skin tends to look greasy and turns dull in just a couple of hours after make-up.
Â
Acne-prone Skin
Â
Oily and acne-prone skin has a shiny appearance with a thick texture. It might feel sticky or greasy to touch. This kind of skin is prone to frequent bouts of acne. Clogged pores and blackheads are also a continual problem.
Â
Cleansing, Toning and Moisturizing
Â
Cleansing is an important part of the regularly skin care routine. It removes all the extra oil on the skin surface so that there is no possibility of developing clogged pores and blackheads. A cleanser which contains camphor can be very beneficial for oily, acne prone skin as it soothes inflammation and calms the skin, without stripping it of moisture.
Â
Toning after cleansing, tightens the pores and gives your skin a lift. Rose water is an excellent toner for oily skin as it is a natural astringent.
Â
Moisturizers which contain natural ingredients such as neem, clove, turmeric, eucalyptus etc. fight acne infection and also regulate the skin’s natural oil balance. It is important to use the right moisturizer for oily skin because a greasy moisturizer can make oily skin look duller.
Once you find the perfect product for your oily skin, stick to your skin care routine and it is only a matter of time before you see results.
Â
Extra Care
Â
Oily skin can benefit from regular application of clay masks which draw excess oil from the skin but still leave it nourished because of the inherent mineral content. Unlike chemical products which dry the skin surface resulting in more oil secretion by the skin to equilibrium the moisture loss, clay masks remove only the excess oil. They also detoxify and increase blood flow to the skin. The increased blood flow helps tone the facial muscles and creates a flawless complexion.
Â
Natural Ingredients for Oily Skin
Â
Sulfur removes dead cells and helps clear blocked pores. Turmeric has antibacterial properties and is also a good anti-oxidant. Neem keeps the overactive sebaceous glands of acne prone skin under check and controls oil secretion. Cloves are antibacterial and anti inflammatory.
Â
Look for these natural ingredients in your skin care products. Incorporate them in your regularly beauty regime to take care of acne prone skin

If you have some scars, I would state honestly you do not need to resort to microdermabrasion or the other crazy, costly medical options being suggested out there. This is a very safe, natural, minimal cost scar treatment that has worked wonders for me and many others in getting permanently rid of acne and all kinds of scars. It also rid my face of a mass of freckles and some moles.

As someone who’s had 60% success I’ll tell you my experience with Microdermabrasion scar treatments. I had a series of sessions which alternated between microdermabrasion and glycolic peels with a 4 week interval. So one month it’d be a peel and next month it’d be micro. With apiece session my doc increased the setting of the dermabrasion and peel.

Well, I have acne scars, and if it matters, I’m Asian as well. I find that just the microdermabrasion from St.Ives has really helped. So as an answer to the question: will Microdermabrasion Remove Acne Scars On Asian Skin? I will state YES, but it takes a while, (I’ve used it for a couple of months) but now I have a significant amount less; about 60-70%. Just remember to take care of your skin, using moisturizer and also exfoliating. I don’t know about other types of microdermabrasion though, but

Question: Eyebrow Waxing Burn/Ripped Off Skin!!! Please HELP!!!!! (Sensitive skin?)?
I have been getting my eyebrows waxed for abut 4 years now and there were no problems. After a visit for the salon where I get my eyebrows done about 6 months ago, however, i got these “burns” under both my eyebrows. I don’t think it is from the wax being too hot because i waxed myself at home with cool wax strips and still got these “burns”. When I state “burns” they actually are like parts of my skin were ripped off. They are raw and injured like a burn.
I have very sensitive acne-prone skin and am on Differin to help prevent breakouts. I dont know if this is causing the skin to be “ripped-off”. I included a picture of the “burns”.
Does anyone have recommendations on how to prevent these or how to treat them so they can heal very quickly??? Please, please HELP!!

i don’t think waxing was meant for the face, but you should seriously place some ice on it or go to a doctor.
or switch to plucking/string method
or rub it with ice before waxing

i suggest icing your eyebrows and if eventually it doesnt go away, then you should see your doctor or dermatologist.
Eyebrow waxing is an essential part of many people’s grooming regimen. Professionals wax eyebrows every day and charge for their expertise but this is something you can try to do for yourself. Use the essential tools and these tips to learn to wax your eyebrows at home.
Things You’ll Need:
•Cream wax kit
•Epilation oil
•Disposable mascara wand
•Wax spatula
•Muslin strips
•Step 1
Purchase all the necessary equipment for waxing eyebrows at a local beauty supply center. These supplies include epilation oil, muslin strips and a waxing kit. Cream wax works well for eyebrows. Tweezers are also handy for removing hard to wax hairs.
•Step 2
Pick up an unused disposable mascara wand. Bend it at an angle to use as a comb for the eyebrows. Brush the eyebrow hair out of the way with the mascara wand.
•Step 3
Put epilation oil on the eyebrow area. Use just a small amount to prepare the area for waxing.
•Step 4
Brush the eyebrow hair up and out of the way. Pull down the hairs to wax off in small segments with the mascara wand.
•Step 5
Wax only a small section of eyebrow at a time. This prevents over waxing.
•Step 6
Apply a small amount of cream wax with a small spatula to the hair to be removed. Put on the wax in the direction of the hair growth.
•Step 7
Place a small piece of muslin over the wax and press down several times, pressing in the direction of hair growth. Pull down the muslin and make sure there are not any unwanted hairs stuck in the wax.
•Step 8
Hold the skin taut. Pull the muslin quickly in the direction against hair growth. Remove any excess wax by placing a clean section of the muslin back over the just waxed area, pressing down and pulling back up. Remove any stray hairs with tweezers.
