July 20th, 2010Question: Very Oily Skin… Acne Help Please? ?
As you know i have very oily skin. I am a teen and have been struggling with acne for a year or two now. I have pimples all across my forehead and some on my chin. Clean and Clear didn’t help me much, nor did Clearisil. I would like something I can purchase in a store, or a home remedy. Thank you in advance!

put toothpaste on youre face,
it drys up youre skin and reduces redness.
but dont place a lot on, just on the infected area.

I would say Proactiv but even that sometimes doesn’t work for some people. Try using Neutrogena in the clear bottle with the orange liquid. It dries up your face but not too much. Just enough to make your skin not oily. Also after you use that use an astringent. This will help take all the dirt off from the parts you missed with your facewash. After you apply your astringent let it air-dry. Do this at least two times a day untill you see results.

try get the oil pads in a local store such as target they clean your face aswell as get rid of all the dirty oils that cause pimples.
well, this is what worked for me earlierr.
i picked my pimple…and the white yucky stuff came out..
then i put some rubbing alcohol on it and in 3 1/2 hours or less, it became smaller…and it was HUGE….to me…

Im sorry, but none of the counter products are going to work its a fact. Those products only work for people that maybe have one or 2. I went through the same thing and Im 15. I tried everything I mean everything and wasting money goes fast. Your answer is to see a dermatologist, its the way that will deffinetly work. They give you a medication to get rid of it and to prevent it. Yes appointments are long but you wont regret it. Sometimes it can take 3 months before you go to your appointment so I advise using a regular 3 step acne kit. Neutrogena is the best but basically they all have the same 2 top ingrediants Benzoyl Peroxide and Salycic Acid.
Proactiv – seriously, it works wonders… but you need to use the whole three step system, not just the cleanser.
or you can try clinique’s face wash system. They make a set for very oily skin also.
or – my regular doctor told me just to use unscented sensitive skin dove soap (bar) on my face twice a day and afterward at night, to use a cotton ball and some rubbing alcohol to help too.
Try and keep your hands and other things, like your phone, from touching your face. If you can keep your hair pulled away form your face also. I can’t even have bangs because my forehead gets so bad if I have hair sitting on it.
