This is gonna sound weird, but I’ve heard it works. Put honey on your acne with a band-aid over top. It has something to do with why honey never spoils. I think it like kills bacteria’s or something.
Try this simple remedy. Wash your face twice a day in warm salty water. This should leave your face oil free without aggravating the pimples like soap. The secret of keeping the skin clear is to keep it oil-free and clean. More such solutions at http://solutionsforpimples.blogspot.com/
It seems everyone has their favorite home remedy for treating acne. Many people swear by milk of magnesia masks. Others recommend
tea tree oil, toothpaste, or baking soda.
My personal favorite are oatmeal masks. They’re super easy to make, and inexpensive too. Just throw a handful of uncooked oats into a blender for 30 seconds or so, until you have a nice powder.
Then, mix with warm water until you get a creamy consistency. Add a pinch of dried chamomile or lavender and you have an oatmeal mask that rivals store bought products. Let set on the face for ten minutes and rinse off. Your skin will feel soothed and cleansed.
But are homemade treatments effective? I suppose the answer is yes and no. If you’re looking to treat just an odd pimple here and there, you may find these remedies help.
Anything more than mild breakouts and you’ll need a treatment medication, whether it’s an over-the-counter salicylic acid or more powerful prescription creams.
