Uhmm...I think your best bet is to just call and ask your doctor.
Even if he/she is not a dermatologist I think they had still be ready to tell you whether or not they are are cyst's or not.
:]
That or you can google them.
But still I think your best bet is to call and ask your doctor.

Acne cysts are the raised, swollen nodules under the skin that are filled with pus. They can be very painful, and can leave scars when they finally go away. I used to get them all the time, and they’d show up on my face and even in my ears. The ones in my ears were so painful, it would be difficult to sleep with that side on the pillow. I used to go to the dermatologist, and he would inject them with cortisone, and they would go away within a couple of days. However, others would come soon thereafter. The only way I was finally rid of them (an rid of my acne, in general) was to go on a 6 month treatment of Accutane. That was the best thing that ever happened to me. I took it in 2004, and have experienced a complete turnaround with my skin. I’d definitely suggest speaking to a dermatologist and working with him / her to determine the best course of treatment for you. Good luck!

they are cysts. Cysts are really deep and painful zits. Go to the Dr. if possible. If not then wash your face with a medicated apricot scrub twice per day and then apply benzoyl peroxide to your entire affected area with special gobs on the cysts at night.
Acne cysts in the field of dermatology are considered to be the worst of all the different kinds of acne there are out there today. Doctors are learning more and more about cystic acne and how to best treat it, since it is a serious medical condition which can be very complex and requires a serious approach. If you have had or are having problems with acne right now, you should really learn to recognize the different warning signs when it comes to cystic acne, or else you might misdiagnose cystic acne for acne vulgaris, which is the more common type of acne out there. Many people are wondering how to cure acne cysts and what the cysts look like.
Cystic acne definitely is not a pleasant experience for anyone to have, since the symptoms can often be painful and messy. Lesions tend to appear on the skin when someone has cystic acne. The person may also experience an odd amount of redness or irritation around the affected areas of the skin. It’s extremely important that if you think you might have cystic acne that you head to a dermatologist on the double. A doctor can definitively tell you whether or not you have cystic acne and if you do he can start you on a treatment regimen which will most likely help you immensely.
The standard way of treating acne doesn’t apply so much for cystic acne. Acne vulgaris, the most common kind of acne, can be pretty easily taken care of by applying some cream or lotion to the skin every day along with a facial scrub regimen, however cystic acne is much more stubborn than acne vulgaris and therefore requires stronger medication such as antibiotics or even surgery to correct the skin problem, but it can most likely be fixed my taking pills.
Despite the great things people say about some acne products, I have found that most acne treatments simply did not work for me.
But after years of struggling to get rid of my acne, I finally found something that was able to almost completely cure my acne in less than a week. It’s ClearPore, the best acne treatment. You can find some reviews about ClearPore and how it works at : http://health-sex-money.com/AcneTreatment.html
