What OTC Medication is out there for cystic acne?

Question: What OTC Medication is out there for cystic acne?
My boyfriend refuses to see a dermatologist (mainly because a: he hates physicians and b: we don’t have the money). I’d really like to know any home remedies or OTC things that would help or get rid of his acne.
By acne I mean, hard pimples beneath the surface, they are impossible to ‘pop’ and rarely go away and lots of massive bumpy skin colored patches of blemishes, as well.

Since dermatologist is not an option, intensive skincare regime is the best when it comes to cystic acne.Cystic acne result from sensitive skin, so use a treatment product and include in ur skincare regime.Cleanse, tone and moisturize twice a day to regulate ur sebaceous glands and to withdraw any impurities, use a purifying mask once a week.Plus, since u have sensitive skin, stay away from tea tree oil products and antiseptic products since this could make ur skin worse. When acne becomes scars, include a scar serum to improve skin complexion.Ur skin should improve soon.Good luck….

I suffered with acne (with the occasional severe breakout) for over 12 years. Saw my Doctor several times, and he always pushed prescription medication.

    I hate that!!!

I believe in homeopathic ways of treating health problems.

I’ve tried a lot of different lotions and treatments (some were crazy expensive!), but it kept coming back. I found an all natural way of “curing” my acne that really works!

Check out this site. This guy knows what he’s talking about, as he has been through it as well. His all natural, easy to follow program has been featured on The CW’s “Daily Buzz”, FOX News, and a bunch of others.

Following his instructions, my acne cleared up in about 5 days. He says it can take as little as 3 days, but everyone is different. I recommended this to my sister and a bunch of friends, and it has worked for all of them.

Hope this helps! I’ve been acne free for over 9 months. :-)
