Question: When will my acne fully go away?
I’m a 17 year old senior and I’ve had cystic acne since my frist year of highschool and I still have it as a senior. I’ve tried everything from proactive, antibiotics to accutane which I currently am on now for the second time. I will begin my 3rd month of accutane in two weeks at 40mg a day. Just wondering when is it going to be gone…its killing my self esteem

more than likely you are going to have to move until you are older and your hormones even out.

I’m nearly 22, I’ve had acne since I was in middle school and I’ve been on a number of different medications and treatment with varying degrees of success. I still have issues with acne, but as I’ve gotten older it’s certainly mellowed out and I have more infrequent breakouts and my face especially is a lot clearer. Hormones do play a large role, so you may just have to be patient, it will clear up eventually.

DONT TOUCH YOUR SKIN!! AND USE A TONIC

It may not go away on its own. You may have to help it along. Consider, following a low carbohydrate diet, e.g., South Beach Diet. Getting refined carbohydrates out of your diet, may make your skin less oily. Saw Palmetto, a dietary supplement, and tea tree oil, a topical agent, may also help.

however tempting it is to prick a pimple or scab don’t it will only make things worse. try using a tomato soap since it is beneficial to oily and acne prone skin, use a toner and try a milk compress. you place a washcloth on cold milk and let the washcloth stay in your face for a while. milk can help soothe the skin and hydrate it. lastly place bleaching cream to the acne marks to help them lighten up. =)

Eat a lot of green vegetables like spinach, cabbage, beans, peas, lettuce, etc. A salad and fruit should be taken daily. Check out http://useinfo-acne.blogspot.com/ for more useful info.
