Question: Why has my back acne gotten so much worse while my chest has cleared up nearly completely?
I started birth control (tri-sprintec, the generic of ortho tricyclen) two months ago and this might or might not be related to the following events. since then, my face acne has remained pretty much the same (mild), my chest has gone from mild acne to pretty much clear, but my back has gone from mild to moderate acne. why is this? i wash all three the same, why would they be affected differently? the effects of the clothing i wear doesn’t make sense because my chest and back have gone in different directions.

Facial acne and body acne are most likely to be caused by an excessive production of skin oil by the glands in your pores. For back acne, it could be caused by a build-up of dead cells and those dead cells could clogged your pores. Purchase a back scrubber so that you can wash thoroughly in those hard-to-reach area. If you still encounter the problem, you will need to check with a eligible dermatologist to find out the real cause of your back acne and have a back acne treatment.
